As organic grocery stores gain popularity and consumers become increasingly conscious of what’s really in those artificially-flavored, vending-machine snacks, NC State is helping champion the benefits of our state’s locally grown food – all-natural delicacies that are not only key to healthier eating, but bring an economic boost to North Carolina’s growers and farmers as well. On May 23, the NC State-based Center for Environmental Farming Systems co-hosted a picnic for more than 600 people at a Hurdle Mills, NC, farm to celebrate and enjoy local food prepared by area chefs. To Tip or not to tip?

I am a hostess at a well-known, expensive restaraunt. My friend, another hostess at this same place, and I went out to eat there the other night. We get a 50% discount on our food, the server, who is someone i know or have talked to, only gave us 30% off. I only brought 10 dollars with me because i figured my food plus tip would be $10. So when she brought the bill it was $10.70. I decided not to tip her, merely because i didn’t bring money, and she didn’t give us the whole discount.
What would you do in this situation?
Would you do the same as me or tip?

When it comes to creating technology-leading fairway woods, Callaway sets the bar. The new FT-iZ Fairway Woods only add to the legacy, with unprecedented distance, stability, consistency and feel in every shot.

Utilizing Fusion Technology with a stainless steel face and body and a carbon composite crown, the Callaway club maximizes perimeter weighting while optimizing the center of gravity and increasing the MOI for more distance and accuracy. Polar Weighting improves stability, consistency, and linear acceleration, while its aerodynamic body design increases clubhead speed for players.

FT-iZ woods have an aerodynamic design to reduce drag in the downswing for higher impact speeds, while ‘polar weighting’ (heavy face and heavy in-line power source in the rear) provides stability, consistency, incredible feel and increased speed.

The fairway wood performed very well in our tests. The sound and feel at impact was lovely and despite the weight being lower and further back in the head, the flight was very good too. We weren’t completely bowled over by the head shape but that is very much a matter of personal opinion and the FT-iZ is by no means the worst looking fairway wood available. Performance is everything and we struggled to find fault in that department and we’d certainly rate the club as one of the best composite fairway woods on the market today.

It incorporates a chemically milled hyperbolic face that utilises a new acid reduction process to provide precision thickness across the clubface. This allows the Callaway FT-iZ to optimize the impact of Variable Face Thickness technology to ensure that ball speeds and accuracy are maintained right across the clubface, even on off centre hits.

The golf Crocs look like regular Crocs, just with cleatsand have a stronger support system at he ankles – they are extremely comfortable. The Croc’s best features, the orthotic foot bed and advanced toe-box ventilation system make this golf shoe that much more comfortable than regular golf shoes. Just remember not to wear them in wet conditions, as they are rather well ventilated!

In common with the rest of the Callaway range, the FT-iz fairway takes its design inspiration from the aerodynamics of racing cars. The clubhead produces less drag allowing it to produce more explosive speeds at impact to seen each shot even further than ever before.
